Firstly, a big congrats to the VALEDICTORIAN bestfriend who got a 2-mth job stint at THE LINK, just before embarking on a long and terribly exciting adventure across Europe (without me but its okay). Awesome awesome stuff babe! See how things just sometimes fall into place? We don't have to try TOO hard all the time for things to work.

I'll visit you lots, but you better find some place to eat with me! The Jackie Chan cafe at Nassim is a major no-no, unless u give it a thumbs-up. haha

As the economy is taking a slight slump, amdist the subdued inflation, it's pretty much time to look for a place of our own! The family has been house hunting. But its never easy really, to find a perfect place which meets the needs of everyone. Something's gotta give somehow. I think dad's been really stressing over it, and i can't begin to imagine how tough it would be to have that sort of financial responsibility, so all i can do now, is play the responsible daughter and come home with a degree to appease them!

Speaking of inflation, there are some things which have jumped so much in prices, it beginning to be terribly UN-funny anymore.

sakae sushi now sells their standard fare for 2.29. (used to be 1.99)
golden churn butter (my fave) is 4 buckaroos. (used to be 2.80)
delicious, my monthly read, is up by 2 bucks. (my most cheesed off buy now)

What is this world coming to? isn't inflation supposed to be just a term from our history books? (think, the great depression). How come its really happening all over again! (The US subprime issue is just full of shit, and bush is the biggest shit of them all.)

I don't know if Obama can do a hell of a better job though. At times i think he's such a hypocrite. But he's just an influential speaker, kinda like Hitler. But can he walk the talk? Wait a minute, he hasn't won yet.

I know of a lot of people who are really excited to leave here, but i'm not feeling it yet! Maybe later? Probably when more details are confirmed and we make payment for our ticket, then things would feel more within hands reach. For now, I just can't fully feel the excitement yet, quite lag ah.

SHITTY MONDAY'S OVER!

Made a few blunders at work today, but all's good i guess, thank goodness the errors can be reversed!


Spent about 2/3 of the day surfing the net (quite thick skinned-ly so)because there wasn't much to do. I've come to ignore the glaring stares from 360degrees, as my desk is located in a damn suay place where its bascially on exhibition, for the whole world to see! Ohwells, give me more work la, or else its hard for me to pretend i'm super busy.

My colleagues invited me to their weekly game of badminton/tennis/volleyball and what not. But i kinda backed out of tmr's badminton game cos of tuition and (i'm secretly afraid of getting beaten by 2x40 over years old persons). I'd rather play it in the secret confines of my home.

I read today that the motehrfucker ambrimovich is gonna pay any amount for Messi. Tamade. CAN MR PUTIN PLEASE CATCH ROMAN SOON AND LOCK HIM UP FOR ALL HIS ILL GOTTEN GAINS. He seriously looks like the Russian Baddie who came back from the dead in the 2nd last James Bond. CATCH HIM! Other than Lampard, Terry, J.Cole, and the few who were there before russo empire conquered, the rest have zero loyalty to the club really. SO they will go where the mooolah goes (be it barca, real, ac blah blah). I think Chelso can do wthout droggy and lampa, but terry is quite like gerrad, a pillar of strength in the team. If he goes, then the rest might also zai jian.

Ayah enough of that, as long as United get the BPL can already. Double would be schweet. But cannot be greedy. Mr Owen, prove us wrong tonight!

In other MORE EXCITING NEWS, I'm back to my normal weight again!! Wooohoos, i'm not fattie fattie bom bom anymore. I never was la, but i just felt heavier. And it didnt feel good. AT least not without the NUS canteen food, i've stayed away from the evils of oily chai peng, nasi lemak and pseudo korean food!!

Okay Mooster's meeting me for lunch tmr, yum yum its been awhile at cafe lesamis! oh this is just in terms of movies, cos other than archie comics, i never ever ventured into marvel or any other sort. just not my kinda thing.

this having lunch by myself habit has become seemingly normal as i relish having to microwave my prev night's dishes and chowing them down while reading the newspaper and surfing the net. not that i'm anti social or what, but its just such a bother to walk 15mins to bad food. unless i take the bus out to teman serasi, which has pretty good desserts (ice soursop with jelly!) but really, i don't seem to get sick of my grilled fish with portobello and french beans everyday :)

occassionally i do like to take my half an hour walks around the botanics, especially when its really really hot, somehow it feels right. it always feels right when the sun is shining at the right time, like when you wanna tan, or have a picnic or simply just go out to shop. but its been really burning and humid though. heat i'm okay, but woah humidity is not very forgivable.

I dont know whether it was worth having so little hours of sleep, watching such a heart stopping match at 3am last night. I'm feeling awfully laden with eyebags now, and mentally just shut out. United DID NOT play awesome last night, but they did enough not to give me a massive fit to win 1-0. I thought Van De Sar performed really well though, making some crucial saves. But it was sad to see that Barcelona was kinda running circles around the united players.. boohoo.

Nvm, if rooney and vidic are back for the next game, i'm pretty sure they'll do well against west ham. they better, or il be utterly speechless, like i was when they played portsmouth for FA.
weeneester's bf is going up to catch that game, i'm super jealous la!! hopefully he brings them the super singapore luck! hehe

In a soccer game, u dont really have to play your best to win, u just need a bit of luck and sometimes a referee who's on your side. hahaha.

Everyone is at some annual conference today, so there is only like 5 people in the office, and i really really like it this way, cos its nice and quiet. But lunch is quite a dilemma though, i didnt cook last night, and im unwilling to walk over to NUS, so its a lunchless lunch for me! maybe il walk over to the cafe and see what i can buy with 6 bucks! There isnt a frigging atm nearby either.

i randomly went to check out the melb uni college houses, cos i thought that they might be cheaper and would come with all the bills paid, but i found out that its all quite ex!! shitties, not to mention, some of them look like they were built in the 1800 :( without sounding too prissy, its not that exciting to share toilets with like 10 other people too. but anyway, if ur curious or what, just go chk it out. its like 7k plus per sem, inc of everything.
